Jigokudani Monkey Park in Nagano Prefecture, is part of the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. It is well-known for the large number of Japanese Macaques ('snow monkeys') that inhabit the area and draw visitors from all over the world. They are seen relaxing in the hot springs during the day and are a joy to behold.
